I've now ridden one for 6 months through all the weather a British winter can through at me. Yes I get but then I don't have mudguards. But I get no wetter and no muddier than I did on my old Giant Defy. At the end of the ride the bike washes down exactly the same as any other bike: no easier and no harder. I've never hit my knees on the top tube of this or any other bike. I don't know of anyone else who does. The top tube is in the same place as on any other bike so if you regularly hit your knees on your top tube when cycling your bike then you will on this bike. The IsoTruss isn't sharp so it will hurt exactly the same as a solid tube would. It won't grate your knees - or cheese (trust me I have tried!).
So what is true about the bike? Well I go up hills faster. Definitely true. I don't get calf stiffness or foot cramps on long rides like I did on the Giant. And every time I stop for a brew I have a group of cyclists huddled round the bike wanting to know more.
Open your mind to something new. You might just love it.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12503113530127502868noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8492685525705691186.post-30516532131993141772015-02-05T13:36:10.419-05:002015-02-05T13:36:10.419-05:00Not to mention that it would be pretty hard to cle...Not to mention that it would be pretty hard to clean after a ride on a damp dirt road. Or that aerodynamics seem to be of paramount importance to modern bikes but this one, not so much. That looks like it could be turbulent.
