Don't care about Kevin Costner but loved the bike riding and it too inspired me to take up bike riding later in life which I still do and I ride a specialized tarmac boom! I love American Flyers my favorite line I say it every time I get a chance 'enough of this Sunday stroll let's hurt a little bit!' Everyone love it, believe meAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11622068730320657276noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8492685525705691186.post-39431320656955802182014-06-04T08:57:15.277-04:002014-06-04T08:57:15.277-04:00Like I said -- not a great movie, but I still enjo...Like I said -- not a great movie, but I still enjoyed it.Brookshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12110998345857993287noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8492685525705691186.post-91198777485616118692014-06-04T08:52:18.688-04:002014-06-04T08:52:18.688-04:00Believe it or not, this movie inspired me to start...Believe it or not, this movie inspired me to start riding then eventually racing ... Sad, but true ... And all on Specialized frames ... So, even though the concept of an amateur riding in a Cat 1 race seems a little far fetched ... It's not an awful movie per se, but at least it's entertaining ...

And yes, I have a Shaversport Jersey ... Those scenes are pretty funny. John Amos played the father -- so well remembered from Good Times, and Roots. I still get teary-eyed when Marcus . . . stopping there so not to spoil it.

Mileage: Is 210-280 miles weekly, if year round, really not racing-shape mileage? 11-16K in the year? Shows my naiveté.

I enjoy the scenes when the gym manager tries to get his son interested in cycling. "Dad, I wanna bowling ball."Maxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07722786211652015559noreply@blogger.com
