My favorite glove was a used set of Diadora gloves which had very thin unpadded leather palms (kangaroo?). I rode freshly re-taped bars without gloves to avoid messing the colour on a test ride of a new Bertin restoration. That mistake will not happen again. They also allow tire wiping to reduce punctures if you are using tubulars. Hmmm.
