Good to hear from another Mercian fan.Brookshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12110998345857993287noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8492685525705691186.post-7011964811344072262014-06-26T18:53:47.253-04:002014-06-26T18:53:47.253-04:00I just found out about you today, on the Mercian C...I just found out about you today, on the Mercian Cycles blog. Normally, I go with a few more coats, making it more glossy, but I did want to keep this with a slightly rougher texture.Brookshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12110998345857993287noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8492685525705691186.post-60398705050083233952014-06-06T10:10:31.903-04:002014-06-06T10:10:31.903-04:00Great job! What a knock-out.

Did you already shellac your wraps? If so, how many coats? I know some people like to put just barely enough to "seal" the cloth (particularly with black, it seems) and keep a rough texture, others like to make it glossy.

I second Pondero's comment: please give us a post after you get a few miles behind it and report your thoughts on your component selection. It seems a smart mix, to me.

WolfN/Ahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14710395292374599493noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8492685525705691186.post-82319266869812068532014-06-05T22:18:19.294-04:002014-06-05T22:18:19.294-04:00What a beautiful bicycle!
