I never did a full tally, just couldn’t bring myself to for some reason.

This year’s tracking got tricky with two quarantines and my own illness, so I ended up tracking “car days” instead. Out of all the days I went to school, I only drove a car seven times. Granted, I live just under two miles from work, about a tenth as far as your commute, and I don’t have to ride with traffic, but I was really surprised how little I needed a car for work. It made me feel like I really offset the handful of times I drove my ‘87 Land Cruiser. It’s a horribly inefficient car, but I love it. Paradoxically, I also love NOT having to drive it.
