His response: "If it's the ultimate game, how come they're playing it again next year?"<br /><br />As for the Trek: Whenever I see a red-white-and-blue Trek from that era, in my mind, I hear someone pleading, "Say it ain't so, Lance!"Justine Valinottihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10852069587181432102noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8492685525705691186.post-56440128154355632612018-06-11T23:14:56.962-04:002018-06-11T23:14:56.962-04:00Don't forget Softride: https://en.wikipedia.or...Don't forget Softride: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SoftrideP!N20https://www.blogger.com/profile/07399852194152431227noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8492685525705691186.post-48936898546884047892018-06-09T07:45:50.268-04:002018-06-09T07:45:50.268-04:00Harv - yes, I was kidding.Harv - yes, I was kidding.Brookshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12110998345857993287noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8492685525705691186.post-54046385808055524372018-06-09T00:28:59.665-04:002018-06-09T00:28:59.665-04:00You're kidding right? Stress analysis of all the 'futuristic' designs shown reveal bending moments which would require heavy tube construction to keep from flexing and collapsing. A double-triangle frame design will have almost pure compressive and tensile loads only. Thus allowing the thinnest wall butted tubing to keep weight down. <br />.<br />What we have in these futuristic designs is pure marketing. I guess I am more retro and grouchier than you. :-)Harvhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03633980994364827276noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8492685525705691186.post-49181537818056896342018-06-08T20:46:00.712-04:002018-06-08T20:46:00.712-04:00The frame was made of 14 separate narrow diameter ...The frame was made of 14 separate narrow diameter tubing rods, joined in 57 places, making 21 triangles throughout the bicycle.
